Season 2007/08 |

It was a three way contest for the title this season, with WBA
heading the table for a long spell, but newly-promoted Leicester City Women looked impressive throughout, with a great FA
Cup run meaning they had a lot of games to catch up later in the season. Gradually they added the points they needed, clinching
the league with a victory over runners-up Coventry City on the final day. They were unable to add the League Cup to their
silverware though, as Derby County beat them 4-0 in a thrilling final. At the other end of the table both Sheffield United
and Hereford Pegasus struggled through much of the season after losing players, and must take credit for battling on to complete
their fixtures. |
